Sideloading to install Silk Browser
Sideloading is a process of installing apps that are not officially supported by your device. It involves downloading the app’s APK file from a website and transferring it to your device using a USB drive, a cloud service, or an app like ES File Explorer. Then, you will need to enable the option to install apps from unknown sources in your device’s settings, and launch the APK file to install the app.
To sideload the Silk Browser on your Android TV, follow these steps:
- 01. Download the Silk Browser APK file from here to your computer or smartphone.
- 02. Transfer the APK file to your Android TV using your preferred method.
- 03. On your Android TV, go to Settings > Security & restrictions > Unknown sources and enable the option to install apps from unknown sources.
- 04. Launch the file manager app on your Android TV and locate the APK file. Tap on it to install the Silk Browser app.
